Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs - Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming - Administer medications and monitor health conditions - Implement behavior management strategies and provide emotional support - Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding - Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings - Document individual progress and report any concerns or incidents to supervisor Required Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism, hospice care, or senior care is a plus - Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies - Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and other team members - Understanding of resident rights and ability to advocate for individual needs - Familiarity with caregiving principles and practices - Ability to follow established care plans and work within established systems
Qualifications:
? Must be 21 years of age or older ? Valid driver's license ? High School Diploma or GED ? Ability to effectively communicate with the consumers with whom they are working ? Ability to effectively complete necessary work-related documentation through paper and computer record systems ? Ability to meet the physical demands of providing personal care Must be willing to submit to the following:
Criminal Background Check:
Candidate must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and be determined not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to serving individuals.
CARI:
Shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Record Information Service.
Toxicology Screening:
Shall submit to drug testing prior to employment, randomly and for cause.
Central Registry:
Shall agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders against individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
Preferred:
